It was imperative to identify these bottlenecks and provide a solution that enabled swift resolution while fostering a more decentralized decision-making approach.

    Solution

    To address the bottleneck issue, we devised a system to identify critical tasks in advance and allow team members to flag bottlenecked tasks as they arose. This proactive approach aimed to streamline operations by:

    Task Identification: Critical tasks were identified in advance based on their significance to project timelines and overall operational flow. Additionally, team members were encouraged to flag bottlenecked tasks using the established system.

    Dashboard Development: Customized dashboards were created for business owner or each key decision maker, providing a comprehensive view of ongoing tasks and identified bottlenecks. The dashboards were designed to offer a helicopter view of operations, enabling quick assessment, prioritization and resolution.

    Integration and Training: The new system and dashboards were integrated into the existing workflow, and team members were provided with training on how to utilize the system effectively. Clear guidelines were established for identifying and addressing bottlenecked tasks.
